Maharashtra Government allows the fully vaccinated people to travel in local trains from August 15. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday said they will set up 358 help desk in 53 stations in Mumbai, which help to verify the people’s vaccination certificate offline.

On August 08, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced that people who have been fully vaccinated and completed 14 days after receiving the second dose will allowed to travel from the local train from August 15.

Thackeray had also announced that there will be the online and offline system set up for the people to verify their Co-Win generated vaccination Certificate, which will make them eligible for the month pass or ticket.

The BMC on Tuesday upraise the Standard Operating procedure (SOP) on how will operate the offline system.

Across Mumbai, 358 help desk setup in 53 stations. These help desk will operational on seven days into a two different time session. (1) 7am to 3pm, (2) 3pm to 11pm.

The SOP issued by BMC stated that the fully vaccinated people who have completed 14 days after receiving second dose are eligible for monthly pass. The people have to show their vaccination certificate along with the prove ID (Aadhaar Card), and also carry one photocopy of prove ID for the further process.

The staff members at the help desk will verify your certificate by scanning QR code. If found authentic than they will stamp on your certificate and photocopy of prove ID (Aadhaar Card).

Then those people will proceed for the monthly pass or ticket. At the ticket counters.
The people always have to carry the ticket, vaccination certificate and ID card while travelling.

“A strict system of checking will be in place with the police only allowing those with monthly pass and vaccination certificate along with a photo ID card (Aadhaar card) to enter platforms” Senior Railway Official said.

Those who found with fake documents will be liable for criminal action under the Epidemic Control Act, Disaster Management Act and the Indian Penal Code.
