August Festival Month 2021: Here’re the complete list of the Festival in August

The August month is known for the festivals month. This year some of the special festival and major important day are there in the month of August. The Major Important day is Independence Day on 15 August, India will celebrates its 75th Independence Day.

Apart from this the Shravan is being from today according to the Marathi calendar. The Shravan is special month for the Maharashtrian people, which is start from today 09 August 2021 and ends on 07 September 2021.

This Shravan month, Shravan Mahina or it is said as Shravan Maas, and celebrates in Maharashtra and some Konkan region. Sharvan month is favourite month of lord Shiva. In this month the Lord Shiva drank Halahal and became Neelkanth in the Sumudra Manthan in the Sharvan Month. That’s why each and every day has an importance.

Shravan Shukla Paksha starts from today 09 August 2021 till 22August 2021.
Shravan Krishna Paksha starts from 23 August and ends on 07 September 2021.

In Shravan Month, there is a lot of importance of Shravani Somvar. On every Monday of Shravan Month Shiv Mutt Puja is performed in every houses in Maharashtra.

The Shravani Somvar dates are 09 August 2021, 16 August 2021, 23 August 2021, 30 August 2021, and 06 September 2021.

Not only Shravani Somvar but Mangal Gauri puja is also important ritual in Shravan, which is performed by women’s on Tuesday. It is kind of games and small exercise and a kind of break from their regular work.

The Mangal Gauri Puja dates are tomorrow 10 August 2021, 17 August 2021, 24 August 2021, 31 August 2021 and 07 September 2021.
