In the thrilling game of four days India and England had equal dominance from their sides to win the first ever match in a 5 match test series. On the day five India will need 157 runs to kickstart their second WTC campaign with a win.

After collapse in their first innings India successfully dominated England team on day 3 and day 4 with the likes of Jadeja and lower order in the batting inning and Bumrah, Thakur and Siraj’s clinical bowling spells on day four.

India managed to all out England quite early as expected, while England scored 303 runs in their second inning with the huge contribution by Joe Root. Despite scoring another century (109) Root didn’t get much support from other end as second highest score after root was Curran scoring 32.

Indian pacers on the other hand created winning atmosphere for India as Bumrah took 5 wickets in 19 overs sparing 64 runs while Thakur and Siraj took 2 wickets respectively. Shami took the last wicket of Robinson and ended the England’s inning.

India in the last 20 overs of the day had a great start but lose huge wicket of KL Rahul in the end. Rahul scored 26 runs while Rohit Sharma and Pujara are still playing 12 runs each.
