Rasika Dugal garners two glories at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Rasika Dugal has stood out across all platforms of entertainment in the course of her acting career. The versatile actor has made her mark in films and in the OTT space and resultantly she has bagged two nominations under two different categories at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. 

Dugal has been honoured with a nomination under the category 'Best Actress' for her film Lootcase, which was one of the first films to be streamed digitally amid the nationwide lockdown in 2020. The film marked the first time that the powerhouse performer ventured into the comedy genre and her performance garnered tremendous acclaim. 

Vidya Balan, Swastika Mukherjee, Kani Kusruti, and Rima Kallingal are the actors who share the honour with her. Her portrayal of a middle-class wife in the comedy not only underlined her versatility, but also brought her effortless comic timing to the fore. In addition to this nomination, she has earned another for 'Best Performance (Female) - Series' for Mirzapur Season 2 along with Neena Gupta, Prajakta Koli, Samantha Akkineni, Shahana Goswami and Shweta Tripathi Sharma. Dugal impressed upon her mettle as an actor in the series and her character in it is the unanimous favourite of the OTT viewers.
