An arrest was declared early Friday in the hit-and-run death of Gone Girl actor Lisa Banes, who expired almost two months ago.
Brian Boyd was imprisoned on Thursday and accused of fleeing from the scene of an accident transpiring in death and failure to yield to a pedestrian, New York City police explained in a news release.
Banes was knocked by a scooter or motorcycle in the morning hours of June while she was crossing a street on the way to her alma mater, the Julliard School. She was sent to a hospital where she died on July 14 at age 65.
Banes emerged in many television shows and movies, comprising Gone Girl in 2014 and Cocktail alongwith Tom Cruise in 1988. On television, she had roles on Nashville, Madam Secretary, Masters of Sex and NCIS.
Few details on the charge were immediately declared. Police did not confess whether Boyd had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
