Although much about his role is blurred, the character, Gorr is explained to be one of the deadliest Marvel villains, even more, powerful than Thanos. If going by the comic books, it is said that he is credible for demolishing worlds and “feasting” on Gods, if not twisting them into his slaves.

Rumours are teeming that Bale's role in the movie may not be a “one-off”, indicating that he could be the next bringer of destruction.

Bale's images have emerged two months after director Taika Waititi declared the wrap of the movie.

Sharing a photo with main cast member Chris Hemsworth, he composed a note that read, "And that's a wrap on Thor: Love and Thunder. Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there's me and @chrishemsworth who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok, I don't look cool I know that."

"This film is the craziest thing I've ever done and I'm honoured to bust my ass and have a nervous breakdown so you can all see it in May 2022," he concluded.

The movie will also see Natalie Portman who will presume the role of Lady Thor and Tessa Thompson who will play the role of Valkyrie and King of Asgard.
