As time passed we have witnessed a lot of spectacular superhero movies which took our imagination to a completely different level, bringing us to the edge of our seats as the climax arrives. But the question that is often asked was which one is better, DC or Marvel. So today, we have gathered the top 10 superhero films, the way critics did.

10. Thor: Ragnarok (93%)

Featuring Chris Hemsworth, Thor: Ragnarok is the third Thor movie, was a revolutionary reinvention of the character in MCU that had been fierce and too self-serious before. Ragnarok’s Thor was a guy with a sense of humour, even though his hammer Mjolnir was destroyed by his evil sister. The movie was a laugh-out-loud event with a lot of spirit and humour.

9. Wonder Woman (93%)

With its powerful heroine, a positive feel, and an incredible central performance by Gadot, Wonder Woman climbed high up in the air. The film satisfied the genre needs of extraordinary action but Wonder Woman is much more than simple superhero fare.

8. Superman (1978) (94%)

Richard Donner directed Superman is frequently declared to be the first modern age superhero film. Unlike other DC movies, which are too self-serious and tragic, Donner’s Superman was a movie that was like its hero – quickly likeable. And like the symbol on the hero’s chest, it embodied hope.

7. Iron Man (94%)

Many compared him to DC's Batman as both of them became a superhero solely due to his money and knowledge of technology. However, the only difference between the two was Tony did not hide behind identity and boldly proclaimed to the world that he is Iron Man — a fresher take on the rich superhero trope pioneered by Batman creators.

Warner Bros and DC were fast to snatch James Gunn from Disney-Marvel after he was fired by the studio due to his old, triggering tweets. He alleged the bosses at DC asked him to make a movie with any character that suited his imagination. The bargain has paid rich dividends. The Suicide Squad is one of the best-reviewed DC films to date.

3. Black Panther (96%)

With a largely African-American cast, Black Panther was a big turning point not just for MCU but for the whole retail film industry as well. As per the timeline set after the incidents of Captain America: Civil War, it had T’Challa coming back to his home, Wakanda, to be crowned king after his father dies. Unknown to him, there are hovering threats to his throne and his kingdom. It remains the best-reviewed MCU movie.

2. The Incredibles (97%)

In Pixar’s The Incredibles, All the superpowered humans are compelled to go underground in their civilian identities by the government after serious collateral destruction. Bob Parr, previously Mr Incredible, is married to another super, Elastigirl, and has a family of his own with three kids, one of them a baby, and the other two also have superpowers. Mr Incredible gets entrapped in a plan schemed by a man called Syndrome who wished to be Mr Incredible’s sidekick and who was shut down by Mr Incredible on many occasions. Not only a great superhero film, but The Incredibles was also a fairly practical description of what would happen if superheroes existed.

1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (97%)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse became apparent as some of the finest screenwriters in the industry united with some of the most gifted VFX artists. This movie was clearly a damn good graphic novel come alive. Every single frame looked as if it was handmade; every scene from action-packed to sombre had unique sights that made the visual experience unique. The action spectacles were some of the best you will ever see.  The script was incredible covering points like funny, heartfelt, poignant, and still maintaining it to be a classic Spider-Man story.
