Marvel Studios on Friday published a new featurette of its approaching movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings featuring Simu Liu in the lead role.
In the featurette, Marvel boss Kevin Feige greets Shang-Chi into the family, while also bringing us back to MCU’s first film Iron Man where we had many relations to the terrorist organisation Ten Rings that seized Tony Stark and urged him to create weapons of mass destruction for them. In the video, Kevin Feige also illustrates a bit of Shang-Chi’s family legacy around the Ten Rings.
Simu Liu, on his part, discloses Twitter assisted him to land the role in the MCU movie. Director Destin Daniel Cretton assumes the video by vowing that Shang-Chi will be a “crazy wild giant ride”.

Shang-Chi will be the first Asian superhero to take up the main role in a Marvel movie. Also titled the Master of Kung Fu, Shang-Chi was brought up as a master of martial arts by his father. Tony Leung tackles the role of the Mandarin, Shang-Chi’s father and the head of the Ten Rings terrorist organisation.
Shang-Chi tracks the titular superhero’s battle to live up to his father’s legacy and comes to be capable of the Ten Rings that provided his family with the legendary power.
The movie also features Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen and Florian Munteanu. Benedict Wong, meanwhile, is said to repeat his role of the sorcerer.
Shang-Chi is planned to premiere on September 3 this year.
