In the unwanted conditions India played it's 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka with 3 debutants and some of the new comers in the team. The appearance of these new comers didn't do well for India as Sri Lanka won the match by 4 wickets.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to ball first. In the first innings India manage to cross 132/5. New openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devdutt Paddikal who were in highlights before their debut didn't do that well. Ruturaj scored 21 while Paddikal scored 29.
Shikhar Dhawan scored 40 but took 42 deliveries while middle order batsmen Sanju Samson and Nitish Rana failed to score any double digits. Lower order batsmen Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Navdeep Saini remained not out, India scored 132 till the 20th over.
Minod Bhanuka and Dhananjay De Silva became Lanka's leading batsmen as Bhanuka scored 36 while Silva 40 runs. Indian bowling department had a off start but covered up in the sloh overs.
In the last over thriller Sri Lanka's needed 7 runs in 6 balls and Silva made it through. The series is 1-1 now and the decider will be played tomorrow at the same time and place.
