In the bilateral ODI series of 3 matches India will square off against Sri Lanka in 3rd and final ODI Today on 23 July, Friday, match starting from 3 PM IST. India has already bagged the series as they have won two of the three matches.
At the toss, India chose bat first to define their strength against Sri Lankan bowling attack. On the other hand India has taken a mighty decision to handover debutant caps to 5 Indian players. No one imagined India would play such a team despite bagging series already. Here’s what Shikhar Dhawan said on the toss, “We'll bat first. We want to put up a good total on the board. We have got six changes, and five debutatnts. Navdeep comes in among the debutants. We are motivated, and we want to finish on a high. With the youngsters coming in, we are really excited and looking forward.”
“I think the wicket is dry and should stay good. We have three changes: Praveen Jayawickrama, Akila Dananjaya and Ramesh Mendis come in. I think we are on the right track at the moment and winning this is important to go forward,” Sri Lanka captain Shanaka said on the pre-match presentation.
