It all started on Thursday when South Korea’s president, Moon Jae In, met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman at Cheong Wa Dae.

President Moon Jae In requested that Sherman play a proactive role in the resumption of talks between Washington and Pyongyan.

By referencing BTS’s “Permission To Dance,” Sherman replied that South Korea and the U.S. are allies and have worked together for a long time, so they do not need to give “permission” to each other.
