In the thriller suspense Indian team B successfully chased Sri Lanka's 275 runs and won the second ODI in the 3 Match series. With this win India sealed the series by 2-0.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first, with the great starts by openers Fernando and Bhanuka SL scored 275 runs losing 9 wickets. In the 13th over of Yuzi Chahal Sri Lanka lost two back to back wickets and soon middle order collapsed too.

D Silva and Asalanka though built a strong partnership, Asalanka scored 65 off 68 balls while lower order batsman Karunaratne played a firey knock of 44 runs in 33 balls at the end and remained not-out.

In the reply India failed to have a good start but Manish Pandey and Suryakumar Yadav hold the strings and anchor the innings. Both with the strike rate of 120 around scored 37 & 53 each. Star studded batsman Hardik Pandya on the other hand got out on duck.

His brother Krunal Pandya scored most wanted 35 runs and built a needed partnership with Deepak Chahar. Chahar on the number 8 scored 69 runs off 82 balls and became highest run scorer. His inning consisted 7 fours and 1 six. He scored winning runs with a four and have India their 2nd ODI win on the tour.
