Space Jam starring Michael Jordan was released in 1996 and had opened to $27.5 million, collecting to an outstanding $90.4 million at the US domestic box office and $230.4 million at the world wide box office. The sequel, Space Jam : A New Legacy bowed to a surprise $31.7 million which also turned out to be the biggest opening for kids film since the COVID-19 pandemic created havoc in the entire world.

Last week’s champ Black Widow which broke all the record post-pandemic with a ey-popping $80 million dropped to around 68% with a 26.3 million but also became the 3rd film after A Quiet Place 2 and F9 to cross 100 million. Marvel’s Black Widow is now at $132 million while it has touched $232.7 million in the worldwide collection.
