Veteran actress Surekha Sikri passed away today at the age of 75 due to cardiac arrest. The actress was a part of several shows and has entertained us for over 3 decades
The actress’ manager gave out a statement which said, “Three times national award-winning actress, Surekha Sikri has passed away following a cardiac arrest earlier this morning at the age of 75. She has been suffering from complications arising from a second brain stroke. She was surrounded by family and her caregivers. The family asks for privacy at this time. On said ram.”
Surekha has worked with several actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Shukla, Sushant Singh, Anubhav Sinha and many more.
The actress started her career in 1978 with the film Kissa Kursi Ka. Hit television show Balika Vadhu made her a household name on the small screen. In 2018, she won a National Award for her film Badhaai Ho.
