After Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer AndhaDhun managed to cross the 125 crores milestone at the China box office, the crime-thriller crossed 150 crores at the start of its second week.
Ayushmann Khurrana is having the time of his life as Andhadhun is breaking records left and right at the China Box Office. Andhadhun is being appreciated by the Chinese audience as it has raced passed 150 crores milestone. After giving back-to-back hits with Bareily Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Badhaai Ho and Andhadhun at the domestic market, Ayushmann Khurrana has dominated the Chinese box office market. Overwhelmed by response, Ayushmann says “It’s overwhelming and heart-warming to see the love and acclaim that AndhaDhun has been getting in China. As an artist, it is incredible to see my film cross over and get such fantastic reaction. Andhadhun opened on Wednesday with a good Rs $1.32 million. There was a big jump on the second day to Rs $1.78 million. However, the earnings shot up to a remarkable $ 3.39 million on the third day. The best collections came on Saturday with $ 4.05 million followed by a slight drop on Sunday with $3.18 million. There was a slight drop on Monday with $1.46 million followed by $ 1.42 million on Tuesday and went up on Wednesday with $1.50 million and Thursday with $ 1.56 million.
The collections on Friday grew on $2.01 million, bringing the overall collections to $ 21.76 million (Rs 150.51 crores). Directed by Sriram Raghavan, who earlier made taut-thrillers like Ek Haseena Thi, Johnny Gaddar and Badlapur.Andhadhun, had a fantastic collection at the domestic market with a solid Rs 73 crores, considering the budget was just about Rs 35 crores. The crime thriller got an early release in China on Wednesday and took advantage of the situation.
