8th Day Box Office Report – Badla Touches 40 Crores While Captain Marvel Is Stable At The Ticket Window

After a fantastic first week the Sujoy Ghosh, Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Shah Rukh Khan collaboration, Badla, held well while the super hero film, Captain Marvel, witnessed significant drop at the box office.

Badla had a very good first week growing with each passing day. The mystery-thriller remained strong on the weekdays ultimately taking over the weekday collections of Captain Marvel. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu starrer ended its first week run with a strong Rs 38 crores.

As per early estimates, Badla held well on second Friday, collecting around Rs 2.85 crores, bringing the total earnings to Rs 40.85 crores. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan, under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the budget of Badla is Rs 25 crores (all inclusive of prints and advertising cost (Production Cost: 16 Crore & Prints & Advertising Cost: 8 Crore).

Captain Marvel had a great first week, opening to a solid response with Rs 40.71 crores in the first weekend itself. The earnings dropped on weekdays ending the first week collections to Rs 56.41 crores.

As per early estimates, the super hero film showed significant drop on second Friday with Rs 2.20 crores, bringing the first week total collection to Rs 58.61 crores which is sensational.
