In January, we saw Kangana Ranaut going back to history and telling us the brave tale of Rani Laxmibai, who sacrificed her life defending her throne with a brilliantly made film, Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi. With a biopic on Prithviraj Chauhan, the Akshay Kumar is just getting one step towards bringing the enriching tale of the great ruler, which will be directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The biopic was announced last year when Aditya Chopra liked the story written by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi and agreed to back-up the project.
When quizzed Akshay Kumar on the development of the project, he said “The talks are on. That we are still finalizing yet. We will start maybe by the end of next year“. A source close to the project told that Aditya Chopra will be making an official announcement in April.
