When ever there is a war, natural calamity or a terrorist attack, the first people to come out and protect is Indian Army, who selflessly support us with their act of bravery. To honour the soldiers who have laid down their lives to serve the country, there are few movies being made to tell the stories of gallantry.
With tension going between India and Pakistan, so many sacrifices are being made by our Indian soldiers whose duty is to save the citizen from the scum of the Earth. Siddharth Malhotra has been roped in to play the role of Vikram Batra, who was an officer of Indian Army. Vikram Batra led a very difficult operation in Kargil War against Pakistan and even managed to kill three enemy soldiers in hand-to-hand combat. Talking about the film, Sidharth had said: “It is the toughest role of my life. I feel it is an emotional responsibility to play that character because the family of Vikram Batra felt that I can play his role; so, it is a big responsibility to present their story on the big screen“. Kiara Advani has been roped in to the play the love interest in the film which will be backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will be directed by Vishnu Vardhan. Abhishek Bachchan has earlier played the role of Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra in J P Dutta’s LOC Kargil
Recently, John Abraham unveiled the trailer of RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter) which tells the story of Indian Spy Ravindra Kaushik. Ravindra Kaushik was a RAW agent who passed on valuable information to RAW which was of great help to the Indian defence forces as part of his activities in Pakistan. He was also called ‘Black Tiger’ for his brave performance while doing his duty.

Telgu actor-writer Adivi Sesh took to Twitter to share the first look of his upcoming film titled MAJOR, which will be based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and produced by Mahesh Babu. Sandeep Unnikrishnan was a National Security Guards (NSG) commando who lost his life while fighting terrorists at the Taj Mahal Hotel in 26/11 Mumbai attack in 2008.
After giving a memorable mystery thriller, Andhadhun, Sriram Raghavan is collaborating with the producer of Stree, Dinesh Vijan, for a biopic on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for the courage he displayed during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. There are also reports that a film will be made on Saurab Kalia and will be directed by Srikanth Velagaleti. Saurabh Kalia was one of the five other soldiers who was captured alive and kept in captivity where they were tortured, then killed during the Kargil War.
