The war drama has just crossed the life time collection of Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba.
Inspite of clashing with Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer The Accidental Prime Minister, URI – The Surgical Strike collected a solid Rs 70.94 crores in first week. Thanks to the exceptional word-of-mouth reviews, URI hardly dropped in the second week and collected Rs 62.54 crores followed by Rs 37.34 crores in third week, Rs 29.02 crores in fourth week, Rs 18.95 crores in fifth week, Rs 11.59 in the 6th week and Rs 6.68 crores in 7th week.
URI dropped on 8th Friday due to the release of Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya but still minted Rs 37 lakhs, Rs 79 lakhs on Saturday and Rs 1.16 crores on Sunday in its 8th weekend. Due to the Mahashivratri holiday, URI-The Surgical Strike collected Rs 67 lkahs on 8th Monday, bringing the overall total to a sensational Rs 240.38 crores and crossing the lifetime collections of Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Rohit Shetty’s collaboration, Simmba.
