With a tremendous amount of love and appreciation pouring from all sides for her upcoming character, Safeena in Gully Boy, here’s an honest confession made by Alia Bhatt:
Zoya Akhtar’s directorial Gully Boy is making huge noise and in all good ways and for all valid reasons, we can’t help but love this excitement in the air to witness something stellar taking place on the silver screens. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in unique avatars, this film has already garnered attention and appreciation for, from its performances to its very addictive music!
Now, while both the actors have been lately giving us only near-to-perfect performances in their previous roles and films, there’s still that one role that always sticks out to be something of one chance! For Ranveer Singh it is Padmaavat’s Allauddin Khilji’s role that got him darker than ever. However, for Alia Bhatt, it is one whole film that made her quite distressed.
In conversation with DNA, Alia Bhatt revealed what film made her hesitant to go to the sets and work for the day! “Yes, that happened to me during the shoot of Udta Punjab. I used to be so sad that I would sit in a room alone and wouldn’t want to go.
The milieu and setting of the film was disturbing because the story we were trying to tell was such. I would wait for pack-up so that I could go back home. That’s normal because you’re human and sometimes, you just don’t feel particularly excited about having such kind of an experience.”
