Ariana Grande Boycotts Grammy’s, Here’s What She Is Tweeting While The Show Is On

Ariana Grande has won her first ever Grammy for her recent album Sweetener, and we can’t keep calm about it!

Winning her first ever Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album might’ve made the year for our Thank You, Next hitmaker; however, the successful singer wasn’t quite there to take the award. It is no secret that the pop-singer had decided to boycott the awards this year. All due to her disagreement with Grammy’s producer Ken Ehrlich.

But, that hardly kept her away from posting and talking about the awards ceremony, she was practically live-blogging the event as she went from showing off her custom-made Grammy gown and to giving an acceptance speech post her win.

After retweeting the Recording Academy’s official message announcing her achievement, Ariana dropped an F-bomb and an emoji that looked like it was getting ready to cry.

“I know I’m not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things, but f–k,” she wrote. “This is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much.”

Well, we are definitely happy about this lady’s well-deserved victory in the category.

The matter of boycotting the event took place when Grande initially was supposed to perform at the Grammys, yet pulled out a few days back due to a disagreement with Grammy producers over her set list. Moreover, the final straw came as Producer Ken Ehrlich in an interview said “Ariana felt it was too late for her to pull something together” for the show.

Grande called out the lie and false allegation put against her credibility, “I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. I can pull together a performanceover night and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity & self-expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend.”

However, when it came to support the show in whole, Ariana proved she was tuned in to Grammys, with a shoutout and praise for Janelle Monae’s performance, followed by an adorably sweet photo session of the custom Alfredo Flores dress she was supposed to wear to the ceremony.

Grande and her fourth studio album beat out Camila Cabello’s “Camila,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Meaning of Life,” Shawn Mendes’ “Shawn Mendes,” P!nk’s “Beautiful Trauma” and Taylor Swift’s “Reputation.”
