After Emraan Hashmi starrer Cheat India struggled to register a good opening on is first day, it showed limited growth on the second day at the box office.
Emraan hashmi is probably having the worst phase of his career. None of his movies have been able to make mark in past few years. Though the trailer of Why Cheat India looked promising, the reviews have not been up to the mark and that showed on its first day with just Rs 1.71 crores.
There was a slight growth on the second day with Rs 2.29 crores bringing the 2 days total collection to just Rs 4 crores nett at the domestic box office. Though the collections are better than Arshad Warsi starrer Fraud Saiyaan and Govinda starrer Rangeela Raja, it is way beyond lower than Vicky Kaushal starrer URI – The Surgical Strike.
The budget of Why Cheat India is around Rs 27 crores (Production Cost: 17 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore).
