Is This The Reason Why Deepika Padukone Refused To Be A Part Of Ranveer Singh’s ’83?

Earlier, there were rumours that Deepika Padukone is going to play the role of Ranveer Singh’s wife in the film ’83!

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are the ‘it’ couple of B-town. Their on-screen jodi is loved equally as much as their off-screen one. The two of them have worked together in films like Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Now there were rumours that the actress is also going to be a part of the actor’s upcoming film ’83.

However, the reports turned out to be just rumours. Deepika will not play Ranveer’s wife in the film, which is the biopic on the former cricketer Kapil Dev. And the reason is understandable. A source told Deccan Chronicle, “’83 is a boys’ films. The focus is on  Kapil Dev and his team bringing home the World Cup. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev. While Deepika playing his wife Romi sounds tempting, it’s just not true. Kapil Dev’s wife’s role will be very limited in this film and Deepika is a huge brand. She wouldn’t do any film just because her husband is in it.”

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Deepika Padukone is soon going to start working on her next film Chhapaak, wich stars Vikrant Massey as well. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is next going to be seen in the film Gully Boy. Starring Alia Bhatt as well, the trailer has been receiving applaud from all over. Ranveer is also a part of Karan Johar’s directorial Takht.
