Due to bad reviews, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero has disappointed big time at the box office. After registering a business of Rs 90.07 crores in the first week from 4380 screens, the romantic drama crashed in the second week, collecting just Rs 7.25 which was troubling. Even there was no big release last week but still Zero could not do any business, collecting just Rs 1.18 crores in the third week, bringing the total collections to Rs 98.5 crores which is a huge disappointment. Zero will not be able to touch 100 crores club given two big releases today – URI-The Surgical Strike and The Accidental Prime Minister.
Kannada film KGF was the surprise hit as it did well in its first week with Rs 21.45 crores followed by a solid second week collections with Rs 11.50 crores. The action-drama continued to rake in moolah with Rs 75 lakhs on the third Friday while Saturday was good with Rs 1.35 crores. There was a solid growth on Sunday with Rs 2 crores while the collections dipped on Monday with Rs 1 crores. The collections were stable with 55 lakhs on Tuesday, 45 lakhs on Wednesday and 40 lakhs on Thursday, bringing the total sum of Rs 39.20 crores.
