Currently gearing up for the release of his next outing, Sonchiriya, Sushant Singh Rajput talks about the smear campaign run against him during the #MeToo movement:
The versatile actor was accused of not only being a cassanova of a kind but also accused of misbehaving with his Kizzie Aur Manny co-star, Sanjana Sanghi. Well, the man didn’t deter away from the false allegations as the gave back an answer to all questions without hesitation and only evidence.
He presented with a lot of screenshots of his conversation with Sajana and later on, even the soon-to-debut co-star rubbished the fake news and rumors! In conversation with Mid-Day, Sushant remarks that the very act drawn against him was baseless, as “It was paradoxical because it [the #MeToo movement] was something that I stand for.”

Asserting that it was a smear campaign, he adds, “I happened to be one of the intentional and strategic casualties. Many paid campaigners were used to give it a burst. I felt bad and misunderstood. The more it gets written about, the more it damages my reputation, which I have worked hard to build.”
Sushant Singh Rajput insists that he strongly advocates the # MeToo movement. “The movement is a good thing. It is all about changing mindsets.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sushant will soon be seen in Sonchiriya, a very diverse role indeed for the talented actor. Next up on his radar would be Kizzie Aur Manny, for which he states that the last schedule will start off tomorrow in Paris!
