Sriram Raghavan has come a long way in Bollywood right from the brilliantly made Johnny Gaddar, revenge thrillers like Badlapur and Ek Haseena Thi to the riveting AndhaDhun. Andhadhun is a perfect what-will-happen-next thriller which you can enjoy and break-away from the rom-com drama of Bollywood.

Ranbir Kapoor gives his career best performance in Sanju. When you will watch the movie, you will notice his style of talking, walking and even voice is accurate to that of Sanjay Dutt’s. However, the story was told as if there so many excuses being made for all the mistakes done by Sanjay Dutt to gain sympathy for him and show that he is a victim for all his crimes.

Meghna Gulzar goes one step ahead after her electrifying direction in Talwar and comes up with a admiring tale of guts and valor. Alia Bhatt as a bold RAW agent, Sehmat Khan, was simply mind-blowing and makes it a definite watch.

Mulk was a good attempt by Abhinav which was defined by fine performances by Rishi Kapoor and Tapsee Pannu.

Gold takes a theme of sports to fight against British during the Independence era, which was never attempted before. A fine performances by the star cast kept the movie engaged. Though the direction and screenplay were just about okay.
Other notable films like Gali Guleiyan, Badhaai Ho, Blackmail, Tumbbad, Manto, October and Stree were given thumbs up by the critics.
