All three films – Tom Hardy starrer Venom, Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer LoveYatri dipped further on their first Wednesday while Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer AndhaDhun is firm. Let us check how the films have fared at the box office.
Directed by Rubin Fleischer, Venom minted Rs 4.40 crores on its first day at the box office. There was a slight growth on Saturday at the box office and the super-hero reported to have earned Rs 5.28 crores. Venom continued to grow on the lower end with Rs 6.20 crores on Sunday while Monday was stable with Rs 2.85 while it dipped little bit to Rs 2 cores on Tuesday while it went slightly down on Wednesday with Rs 1.75 crores(as per early estimates), bringing an overall collections to Rs 22.48 crores. Venom met with a mixed reviews from both audience and critics.
There is no respite for the Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer LoveYatri minted Rs 1.90 crores on its first day at the box office. The collections showed growth on the second day minting Rs 2.10 crores while Sunday was decent with Rs 2.40 crores. The collections on Monday dipped to Rs 1.35 and went further down to Rs 90 lakhs while Wednesday collections were at Rs 80 lakhs bringing the overall collections to a disappointing Rs 9.95 crores. The budget of the film is Rs 25 crores and it might become difficult for the film to do a break-even business.
Andhadhun which is directed by Sriram Raghavan collected Rs 2.70 crores on Friday. Since AndhaDhun has been carrying some of the best reviews in recent times and collections picked up on Saturday minting Rs 5.10 crores. The earnings continued to be well on Sunday with Rs 7.20 crores while Monday business was superb with Rs 3.74 while Tuesday was good with Rs 3 cores while Wednesday was good with Rs 2.75 (awaiting final numbers) to a total of Rs 23.65 crores and will be crossing its budget which is Rs 25 crores.
