Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994)

Directed by Sameer Malkan, Main Khiladi Tu Anari had everything in its favor – Hit music, complete masala entertainment, good action scenes and nice performances. Main Khiladi Tu Anari turned out to be a big hit at the box office.

Mausam (2011)

It was probably the most anticipated film of the year 2011 – first time directed by extremely talented Pankaj Kapoor, beautiful songs, lovely jodi Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Unfortunately, audience were shocked to see something else on the silver screen and were completely disappointed with a lame screenplay. The movie turned out to be a big disappointment at the box office.

Parched (2015)

The subject of Parched was definitely bold with nude scenes, abusive language and violence but I guess the director Leena Yadav was trying to make it more real. The highlight of Parched was defining each female protagonist character appropriately, the issue of women equality still existing in the Northern part of India and how these central characters were overcoming the challenges to live their own life. Screenplay was crispy with beautiful cinematography capturing the princely state of Rajasthan. Art direction was outstanding along with nice background score. Full marks to the editor for completing the drama within two hours. Unfortunately, the pirated version of the film was already released and it suffered a setback at the box office.
