Three-time National Award winner Kangana Ranaut has given us a lot of major Bollywood Blockbusters. From Queen, Gangster to Tanu Weds Manu franchise and Fashion. Each and every movie has gone into making herself standout from usual crowd and bring about a separate form of audience for herself. Maybe, that’s the reason why the actress can be justified in her demands of profit-sharing for her upcoming two movies.
According to the latest reports, Kangana Ranaut has asked for the profit share of her two upcoming films, Manikarnika and Mental Hai Kya. The two films, of whose potential she is quite confident about, in the box office.
However, knowing that her last few releases like Katti-Batti, Simran and Rangoon were not-so-good in performing at the box office has definitely brought in some suspicions and shock.
Meanwhile, Manikarnika is going to show Kangana in a never-before-seen avatar as she portrays the character of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The historical period drama is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by Kamal Jain as well as Zee Studios. The film will also be acting debut of Nihaar Pandya, wherein he play the character of Baji Rao (II). The movie will also feature Jisshu Sengupta, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Sonu Sood and popular tele actress, Ankita Lokhande, in pivotal roles.
On the other side, Mental Hai Kya, another of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie. This Rajkummar Rao starrer is directed by National award winning Telugu filmmaker, Prakash Kovelamudi, marking it as his Bollywood debut. Mental Hai Kya will be the second time that Rajkummar and Kangana come together for, after Queen (2014). The film is produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
