After 12 years, since KANK, Shah Rukh Khan And Amitabh Bachchan Are Ready To Collaborate For Sujoy Ghosh’s Crime-Thriller!

Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have mesmerized their audiences with their powerful aura onscreen and their performances. Two best actors coming together is always a pleasure for their fans, well, after 12 years, it seems SRK and Amitabh are ready to take over the silver screen yet again!

Just like Amitabh Bachchan came back to the screens with Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out, after a long time. Senior Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan are ready to join hands for Sujoy Ghosh’s next crime-thriller. According to the previous reports of a leading daily, after Shoojit Sircar’s directorial Pink, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu were rolled in for the adaptation of a Spanish crime-thriller film, Badla. However, now SRK is also on board for this crime-thriller as the producer, along with Sunir Kheterpal.

We’d seen Shah Rukh and Amitabh, last collaborate in Bhootnath, Vivek Sharma’s horror-comedy in 2008. Although, a small appearance, it was still good to see both Amitabh Bachchan and SRK back onscreen together, after KANK.

“When you get an actor like Amitabh Bachchan, half your battle is won as he’s every director’s delight and I’m extremely excited to direct him. Also, I have been trying to work with Taapsee for a while. This is the perfect story to collaborate with her on. My excitement is doubled now that the film is being produced by SRK. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and now it is time for work,” stated Sujoy Ghosh, who directs this adaptation, from Glasgow where shooting began last week.

Senior Bachchan has joined in on the fun just on Saturday, but he already has an experience in working with Sujoy Ghosh, first in 2009 fantasy-adventure Aladin and then 2016 thriller Te3n for which he was the producer.

Sujoy had informed that Sunir already had the rights to the Spanish crime-thriller, The Invisible Guest, and that it was reportedly being remade in Korea and Italy, but the Hindi remake needs to get finished early. “I thought it was superlative material for AB Sir and pitched it to him. Taapsee was already on board, SRK also loved the source material and the collaboration happened seamlessly,” he exults, adding with a laugh, “This is my first film with Taapsee and after the shoot finishes, I’ll get her some mental help. AB sir is cool, the coolest of them all.”

However, whether SRK will make a special appearance in the film, Sujoy Ghosh says, “SRK is the producer but like hell I am going to stop him from making an appearance.”

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with Aanand L.Rai’s Zero, which is to release this year in December! While, he will soon start working on Rakesh Sharma Biopic!
