From Race To Race 3, How The Franchise Has Evolved Over The Years!

From Race To Race 3, How The Franchise Has Evolved Over The Years!

Race 3, starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez as the leads, is going to be released on this Friday.

One of the most awaited films of the year, Race 3 is going to hit the theatres on this Friday. The film is a multi-starrer having stars like Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. It is going to be a release in the festive season of Eid and is expected to be a sureshot blockbuster.

Race 3 is the third installment of the Race franchise, which had started a decade ago with the film Race. Since then, the franchise has evolved in many dimensions. Here’s how it has been going through changes over the years:

1.       Then Saif, Now Salman: Race(2008) and Race 2(2013) both had Saif Ali Khan as the leading man. But Race 3 has changed that, bringing in the superstar Salman Khan. And the name has just added to the charm of this franchise making it even bigger.

2.       The Leading Ladies: Every Race franchise film has always had an A-lister actress supported by another moderately popular actress. It started with Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu in Race followed by Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez in Race 2. Although Jacqueline has been sustained in Race 3 as well but still she has taken DP’s place as the leading lady. And it is Daisy Shah who is in the supporting role.

3.       The Supporting Leads: From Akshaye Khanna to John Abraham to Bobby Deol, this spot has been occupied by different actors in all the three films. But for a change, Race 3 has Saqib Saleem as well.

4.       Anil- The constant man: One person who has been a constant in these films throughout these years is Anil Kapoor. He had played the role of a cop with assistants like Sameera Reddy in the first and Ameesha Patel in the second installment, who are not there in the third one. Also, we wonder if Anil will again be seen with his fruits this time!

5.       Remo Taking Over The Director’s Chair: The first two installments were directed by the duo Abbas Mastan. However, for Race 3 it is the choreographer-director Remo D’Souza who had taken over the chair. And it seems to have worked for the film as the action sequences look up a notch.
