Well, the best onscreen Jodi of the 90’s, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt, are back to give us all a bang-on comeback together. Courtesy of none other than ace director and producer, Karan Johar.
According to reports, Karan Johar has brought in both Sanjay Dutt as well as Madhuri Dixit Nene on board after a whole gap of 21 years. Last we’d seen of them together was in ‘Mahaanta: The Film’ that released in 1997. Post this movie, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit Nene never worked together, what with Sanjay Dutt’s arrest in the 1993 bomb blast case.
Although now, Karan Johar has finally done the unbelievable, even if co-incidently! Earlier it was in news that Karan Johar was going to be making a film with the late actress Sridevi, who would paired with Sanjay Dutt in the film. However, after the untimely demise of Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit Nene has been brought in, in her place.
This Abhishek Verman directorial had been yet again in news when it was reported that Sanjay Dutt’s walked out of the film. However, now it is cleared out that both the actors have come together to work on this despite their past.
An insider informed a leading website, “Yes Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt have agreed to work together for this film and it is indeed the best news in the longest. Ever since Madhuri came on board, everyone was wondering if she would be willing to work with Dutt, owing to their controversial past. But after much back and forth and some discussions, both the actors have given their nod.”
As added by another source, “Whatever happened between the two is past. They have moved on happily. Also, Madhuri has always believed that personal equations shouldn’t matter when it comes to professional work. It is a mature decision from both and they are both excited to work together almost after 25 years. The film rolls next month and they are aiming to release it in April 2019.”
This Abhishek Verman movie, which was believed to be titled as ‘Shiddat’ untill Karan Johar clarified the same, might also star Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles.
