We received the official statement given by Irrfan Khan which read,
“Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect”.
– Margaret Mitchell
‘The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research 😉 To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.’
He is currently admitted in a hospital and is not in India as some of the best doctors are looking at the actor’s health and his well-being. From what we gathered, NeuroEndocrine Tumour is a kind of cancer of the endocrine system and it is quite rare. The actor is also seen missing from all the promotional activities of his upcoming film Blackmail which is all set to release on 6th April.
When quizzed about whether producer Bhushan Kumar was thinking about postponing the film’s release because of Khan’s ill health, he said, ‘We had thought about it and when we told about the same to Irrfan, he strictly said no to us and asked us to move on with the release of the film as he doesn’t want the film to suffer. He also added that Blackmail is one of his dearest films and will not like if it release gets postponed.’
Wow! We love the gestures shown by Irrfan and wish him a super speedy recovery & hope that he is back with a bang just like always.
