The Maharashtrian cities, Mumbai and Pune are going to be connected by a hyperloop which will reduce the travel time from 3.5 hours to just 25 minutes!
Time is money and in India we waste a lot of time in traveling from one place to another. But this problem is going to be somewhat solved for the people of Mumbai and Pune. These two cities are going to be connected by a hyperloop. And this will reduce the travel time from three and a half hours to just 25 minutes.
Isn’t that great?
But how and by when is it going to be possible? Well, it was the British businessman Richard Branson, who announced this good news on this Sunday. It was at the inauguration of the Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence Summit. Branson told the media that the world’s first operational hyperloop would be made between Mumbai and Pune. And it will be developed by the year 2025.
The hyperloop will have the capacity to move 10,000 passengers in an hour and about 150 million passengers in a year. It will be having a massive speed of 350 kmph. The hypeloop will also connect the airports of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
He told media at the summit, “My travels on Indian roads have not been pleasant. If I were an Indian, a lot of my life would have been spent sitting in traffic jams. This is a miserable way of spending one’s life.”

The project is said to have socio-economic benefits of around $55 billion per year!
