Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are busy in the promotions of their upcoming romantic drama, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. This will be their third film together after Student Of The Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
While interacting with media, Varun stressed on the issue his film BKD will be focusing on. The Badlapur actor said, “There is a lot of male chauvinism in the country and the movie deals with that. Somewhere I realise that we think it is okay. But it is not okay as you don’t know the woman’s perspective. I realised that because there are certain dialogues in the film, which was meant to be offensive and I felt, ‘Well, I don’t think any girl will feel bad with this. Maybe I should say more.’ But Alia would be like, ‘This is very insulting.’ ”
Dhawan further adds, “I never thought of it in that way. Sometimes we are alienating the female sex without realising. Generations and generations have passed and now we feel that it is okay. I started understanding it better after the movie.”
In the trailer we saw how Varun Dhawan’s character doesn’t stop wooing Alia even after getting rejected. Looks like the more has more to offer than just romance and comedy.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is releasing on March 10.
