It is time to pop up up the champagne and reap the benefit for all the hard work put in by the team of “Raees” for past 2 years. The movie has done fabulous business in the Overseas market which has just started and there are many to come.
“Raees” brought in some good number to its makers with Rs 20.42 crores on its first day of release. Thanks to the Republic Day on Thursday, the business shot up by almost 30% minting Rs 26.30 crores. Friday being a normal working day, “Raees” dropped heavily since it is a mass-oriented film which generally drops on weekday. With occupancy rate coming down, “Raees” collected Rs 13.11 crores bringing a sensational Rs 59.83 crores (gross is Rs. 83.10 crores) till Saturday.
In the International market, “Raees” had already collected an approximate of Rs $5.56 million USD (Rs 38.13 crores) in just 3 days of its release. Major contribution came from UAE-GCC (Rs 9.53 crores), USA (Rs 5.87 crores), UK (Rs 3.06 crores), Australia (Rs 2.81 crores), Canada (Rs 1.52 crores), New Zealand (Rs 65.64 lacs) and Malaysia (Rs 13.16 lacs). As per early trade estimates, “Raees” is expected to earn additional $9 million USD on Saturday and Sunday making it the highest weekend grosser for Shah Rukh Khan.
