Finally, Hrithik Roshan should be relieved as his latest dark-thriller flick “Kaabil” is earning him recognition which was due to him. Ditto for Sanjay Gupta whose last film “Jazba” was a non-starter at the box office.
Worldwide BO : Kaabil Touches The 100 Crores Club
Kaabil” made an impact on its first day at the box office with Rs 10.43 crores. The Rakesh Roshan produced performed even better on its second day thanks to the Republic Day holiday earning a mindblowing Rs 18.43 crores. The business of “Kaabil” dipped by almost 30% on Friday earning a good Rs 9.77 crores. “Kaabil” was better than “Raees” in these places bringing a solid Rs 13.54 crores on Saturday. The icing on the cake was that despite “Kaabil” being screened at lesser number of theaters as compared to “Raees”, it was equaling to the Shah Rukh Khan starrer in some areas on Sunday minting Rs 15.05.
As on Monday, “Kaabil” performed well in multiplexes of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai. The collections dropped by 50% which is normal and collected around Rs 6 crores (final numbers to updated) bringing the total collections to Rs 73.46 crores. “Kaabil” holds a budget of Rs 50 crores (The production cost is Rs 35 crores and marketing & promotion cost is Rs 15 crores).
