The story of a running bride landing accidentally in the neighboring country, “Happy Bhaag Jayegi”, had a bad start on its first day despite good promotions and decent reviews.
From the makers of “Tanu Weds Manu”, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” and “Ranjhaana”, “Happy Bhaag Jayegi” has unique star cast and storyline looked interesting but considering the opening collections, this come as a slight disappointment. The “feel-good” comedy opened to Rs 2.50 crores yesterday and is right on the track we were predicting. The film did well in NCR, Delhi and Punjab due to its North Indian flavor and the business is expected to surge on Saturday.
Few advantages that “Happy Bhaag Jayegi” is that Hrithik Roshan starrer “Mohenjodaro” is fading away and the budget is pretty economical.
