The Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu starrer “Pink” had a fantastic first Monday with the collections almost same as what it was on Friday.
The unique subject of the equality of women empowerment is playing well with the audience especially the multiplex junta. The crime-thriller became the thirteenth highest grossing film of 2016 beating its rival film “Raaz Reboot” starring Emraan Hashmi. “Pink” opened to good Rs 4.32 crores with Saturday business manifolding by 40% to Rs 7.95 crores. . “Pink” continued to dominate the multiplexes as the collections shooting up to 120% on Sunday when compared to its first day collections bringing home a jaw-dropping Rs 9.54 crores putting the first weekend total to Rs 21.51 crores. Monday being a working day, collections dropped to a reasonable Rs 3-4.5 crores. The total collections standing tall at Rs 25 crores (final numbers are awaited).
“Pink” is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary produced by Shoojit Sircar. “Pink” will be crossing its budget by today which is Rs 22 crores. The crime-thriller also stars Tapsee Pannu and Piyush Mishra in a pivotal role.
