Supermodel Gigi Hadid has reportedly been arrested for possessing marijuana while vacationing in the Cayman Island. She was arrested with her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy with whom she was travelling by the airport security. The incident took place when her luggage was scanned when she arrived at the Owen Roberts International airport on 10th july for her vacation with her firends. During the luggage scanning the officers found marijuana and utensils used for the consumption of the ganja.
Both Gigi Hadid and her friend Leah McCarthy were suspected of attempting to transport cannabis and for importing utensils used for ganja to the Cayman Islands. Both of them were detained to the Prisoner Detention Centre and were subsequently released on bail. Both of them were presented in court on July 12 and were pleaded guilty and were fined $1,000 each, Gigi Hadid walked out with no conviction record. Both of them were staying at Palm Heights at the time. Accodring to the report of E news Gigi hadid was carrying legally purchased marijuana in New York City with a medical license.
This news has come as a shock for her fans and this news has spread like a wildfire on the social media. Earlier she was in the spolight for her dating rumours with Leonardo DiCaprio and recently when Zayn Malik talked about co-parenting their daughter with her. She has yet not released any offical statement regarding her arrest.
