DeepVeer Announce Pregnancy; Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor & Other Celebs Shower Congratulations on To-be Parents

Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple took to Instagram to share the joyous news with their fans and followers, posting a picture featuring pink and blue baby clothes and toys, with 'September 2024' written on it.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from their industry colleagues. Priyanka Chopra, who has worked with the couple in several films, including "Bajirao Mastani," wrote, "Mubarak" along with a heart emoji. Other stars like Vikrant Massey, Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Sonam Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, and many more also congratulated the couple on this exciting news.

Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 in a lavish ceremony that included both Konkani and North Indian wedding rituals. The couple had an intimate destination wedding in Italy's Lake Como, followed by grand receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

In an earlier interview with Vogue Singapore, Deepika had expressed her desire to start a family with Ranveer, saying, "When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children."

Deepika and Ranveer have shared screen space in several films, including "Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela," "Bajirao Mastani," "Padmaavat," and "83." Their chemistry on-screen and off-screen has always been a delight for their fans, and now, as they embark on this new journey of parenthood, their fans can't wait to see this new chapter unfold.
