From the visual story teller, SS Rajamouli, and the Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt starrer received solid reviews as per Book My Show led to a gigantic opening and continued its dynamic run in its first week with a stellar 132.59 crore which turned out to be the highest first week collection post pandemic beating Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi (Rs 120.66 crore).

There was a big Bollywood release in form of John Abraham starrer Attack but that did no impact the biopic drama as it went onto collect somewhere Rs 12 crore in the Hindi version. As per early estimates, RRR went collect a solid Rs 19-20 crore, bringing the total 9 days to around Rs 165-166 crore. RRR collected Rs 57-58 crore in all languages (rough trade estimates), bringing the overall total to around Rs 565 crore. The budget of RRR is estimated to be around Rs 600 crore.
