On 6th January, Billboard revealed that according to MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music), BTS’s smash hit “Butter” was the United States’ No. 1 best-selling digital song of 2021, with 1.89 million digital copies sold.

Impressively, BTS swept four out of the top 10 spots on the list for 2021: not only did “Butter” top the list at No. 1, ">“Permission to Dance” came in at No. 3 (404,000 copies). Their 2020 hit “Dynamite” at No. 6 (308,000), and their Coldplay collab “">My Universe” at No. 7 (287,000).
