3rd Monday Box Office Report – Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho Is On The Verge Of Breaking New Records

The Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho had a great run on day 19 at the box office and is on the verge of breaking new records.

Badhaai Ho became the first film of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career to cross the 100 crores mark at the box office. The family drama opened big and the word of mouth reviews were fabulous collecting its first week earnings with Rs 66.10 crores. Despite the new release Bazaar, starring Saif Ali Khan, Badhaai Ho remained unaffected and minted Rs 28.15 crores after two weeks.

As there was no major release last week, Badhaai Ho took advantage of the situation minting Rs 2.35 crores on 3rd Friday. The earnings went up on Saturday collecting Rs 3.55 crores while the film witnessed further growth on Sunday with Rs 3.85 crores bringing the overall collections to Rs 104 crores after the end of its third week. The earnings were very very good on 3rd Monday with Rs 1.5 crores (As per trade estimates) bringing the overall collections to Rs 105.50 crores. Badhaai Ho had already beaten the Rajkumar Gupta directed and Ajay Devgan starrer Raid (Rs 103.07 crore) to become the 9th highest grossing film of 2018. It will further break the record of Karthik Aryan and Nushrat Barucha starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Akshay Kumar starrer Gold.

Badhaai Ho is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 30 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost (Production Cost: 20 Crores & Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crores) and can be termed as Blockbuster.
