1st Week Box Office : Karwaan And Mulk Reign Over Fanney Khan

While the musical drama Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao starrer Fanney Khan could not do much in its box office run, the Irrfan Khan starrer Karwaan and Rishi Kapoor, Tapsee Pannu starrer Mulk have done well in their first week at the box office

Fanney Khan In Trouble After Delay In Payments?

Fanney Khan opened to a disastrous Rs 2.15 crores on its first day. There was hardly any growth on its second day and it just collected Rs 2.50 while the third day collection was Rs 2.6 crores. Fanney Khan could not make much business on its fourth day with just 75 lakhs. However, Fanney Khan held well on its first Tuesday with 70 lakhs and on Wednesday with 65 lakhs at the box office. The musical drama collected only 50 lakhs on Thursday bringing the total collection to Rs 9.35 crores (final numbers to be updated). The musical drama is made on a budget of Rs 35 crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost(Production Cost: 25 Crores & Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crores) and should be considered flop.

Karwaan earned Rs 1.5 crores on its first day while the second day collection escalated to Rs 2.75 crores. The business on Sunday further grew to Rs 3.75 crores. The collections on Monday remained stable bringing home Rs 1.15 crores while there was hardly any drop on Tuesday with Rs 1.1 crores. The collections on Wednesday was almost same as Tuesday minting Rs 1.05 crores. The road trip remain unaffected with a solid Rs 1 crores on Thursday and earning overall collection to Rs 12.30 crores (final figures to be updated). Karwaan is made on controlled budget of Rs 18 crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost.

The Rishi Kapoor and Tapsee Pannu starrer Mulk has earned Rs 1.45 crores while the business grew on second day with Rs 2.50 crores. The business did escalated on Sunday bringing Rs 3.67 crores while the Monday business was good with Rs 1.15 crores and Tuesday business was better with Rs 1.25 crores. The business grew slightly on Wednesday to Rs 1.30 while Thursday collection was Rs 1 crore bringing total collections to Rs 12.32 crores (as per trade estimates). The budget of Mulk is Rs 18 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost (Production Cost: 12 Crores, Prints & Advertising Cost: 6 Crores).

Both Karwaan and Mulk still has chance to cross their budget of Rs 18 crores as they should not face much challenge from Kamal Hassan starrer Vishwaroop 2. However, they have time till 15th August when John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate and Akshay Kumar’s Gold arrives.
