Box-Office: Sanju Becomes The Highest Grosser In Opening Weekend Of 2018, Breaks Baahubali: The Conclusion’s Record As Well!

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has set the box office on fire as the film has come out to be the highest grosser in the opening weekend this year!

The biopic Sanju, based on the life of the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has set the box office on fire. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer was released in the theatres on this Friday and the film has been breaking records since then.

Sanju has now become the highest grosser in the opening weekend of this year. It has left behind films like Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat and Salman Khan’s Race 3. While the film collected Rs 34.75 crore on its opening day and Rs 38.60 crore on Saturday, it was Sunday which made Sanju enter the Rs 100 crore club. The film did a humongous business of Rs 46.71 crore on Sunday, which makes the overall total of the film to be Rs 120.06 crore.

And this is not just it. Ranbir Kapoor’s film has even broken the record held by Prabhas’ Baahubali: The Conclusion. Sanju has now become the film to have the highest collections in a single day, which earlier belonged to Baahubali 2.

Taran Adarsh informed about the same tweeting, “#Sanju creates H-I-S-T-O-R-Y… Records HIGHEST SINGLE DAY for a HINDI film… DEMOLISHES the record held by #Baahubali2 [Hindi]… #Baahubali2 had collected ₹ 46.50 cr on Day 3 [Sun]… #Sanju has surpassed it, collects ₹ 46.71 cr on Day 3 [Sun]. India biz.”
