Kangana Ranaut has made her big Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s Gangster. She later made her name with like Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro and Kites, all of the same director.
Now, Anurag has decided to make a sequel of Life In A Metro, but what everyone’s speculating is whether this sequel will also have Kangana Ranaut in it!
Earlier on, Kangana wasn’t that big of a name in the industry like she is today with an array of successful movies in her bag. Keeping in mind that now, the ‘Queen’ actor only does meatier roles, as well as that Life in a Metro had an ensemble cast with no actor getting too much of screen space it remains to be seen how the Barfi director ropes in Kangana Ranaut in this one or not!
A trade source revealed to a leading daily, “Kangana was an integral part of Life In A Metro. Irrfan Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kay Kay Menon all had good roles in the film. It is but obvious that one would want to see some of these actors in the sequel. However, Kangana is doing extremely well now with author-backed roles, and Life In a Metro is about a lot of characters. So, she will really need a great script and a lot of convincing to be on board Anurag’s film again.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for her film Mental Hai Kya opposite Rajkummar Rao. Soon, she will also be starting her preparations to play a Kabaddi player in her next film in August.
It is reported that Kangana has kept a 15-day period to start her prep for the role. She will be learning different kinds of holds and kicks for her role in the film.
The film is directed by Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. While, on the other hand, Kangana Ranaut also has Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi up for release.
