Taking a bumper opening of 70-75%, Avengers – Infinity War received the highest occupancy observed in a long long time. Leaving behind stalwarts like Spiderman and Fast & Furious, the film also became the first Hollywood film to take such a grand opening after a long long time. This has never been seen before and has left everyone amazed.
Movies like these do not release on UFO and Qube formats which automatically effects their counts of screens in which they get released but the massive fan-following and the craze behind the franchise has did all the wonders. Have a look on the film’s opening percentage and the top openings compared to each other in 2018.
1. Avengers – Infinity War – 70% (2000 screens)
2. Baaghi 2 – 57.5% (3500 screens)
3. Padmaavat – 42.5% (3750 screens)
4. Black Panther – 32.5% (1000 screens)
5. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety – 27.5% (1650 screens)
Avengers – Infinity War also has recorded the highest ATP (Average Ticket Price) of all time and it will make up for the fewer number of screens on which it has released. It can be very well speculated that the Marvel film will break all records on the overall Day 1 collection and it will also hugely depend on the business down south.
