Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer action drama film Baaghi 2 has finally entered the Rs 150 crore club.
The action drama film Baaghi 2 has finally crossed the Rs 150 crore mark. The film stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani is lead roles. And was released in the theatres on March 30, this year. The film was able to enter the Rs 150 crore in seventeen days as its third weekend went well.
The film had managed to earn whopping Rs 110.81 within its first week. And the second week saw a business Rs 32.74 crore. It was after its third weekend of release that the film gained more that Rs 150 crore as the film grossed around Rs 6.75 crore in the past three days.
The breakdown of the third weekend was : 1.5 crore on Friday, 2.25 crore on Saturday and 3 crore on Sunday. This makes the grand total of the film to be Rs 150.30 crore. With this, Baaghi 2 has become the lowest budget film to cross the mark of Rs 150 crore.
The third week saw a drop in audience around 67%, which was better than the second week. The film also got a competition from Varun Dhawan’s latest release, October also starring the debutante Banita Sandhu.
Baaaghi 2 is expected to have a lifetime total of Rs 160, as it is already in its third week. Also, the much awaited Hollywood action adventure fantasy, Avengers: Infinity War is going to release on April 27, which will leave less chances of business for Tiger’s film.
Talking about the film, it has been directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is a sequel to the 2016 release Baaghi, which starred Shraddha Kapoor alongside Tiger Shroff. The film also stars Prateik Babbar, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda. And is a remake of the 2016 Telugu movie Kshanam.
