Box Office: Sidharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary Gets A Low Opening On Its Day Of Release!

Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Aiyaary have been released in the theatres!

The Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is back on the screens with the thriller film Aiyaary. It released yesterday but unfortunately, the film had a very low opening. It could collect just around Rs 3-3.5 crore at the box-office on its first day.
This has made it very tough for the film to expect a good business in its upcoming days as thriller films usually do not show a huge growth.
Although a huge opening was not expected from the film due to the not so impressive trailer. But such low collections on the first day were also not expected as the film has a good star cast.
The film’s business has also been affected due to other B-town films like Padmaavat and Pad Man. It has been three weeks to Padmaavat’s release. But Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man has released last week itself. Hence, it is still attracting many viewers. Another competition for Aiyaary is the Hollywood film Black Panther, which also released yesterday.
The Hollywood film is on as many screens as 55% of Aiyaary. And knowing that, the first day business of Rs 5-5.25 crore for Black Panther is remarkable.
Talking about the film Aiyaary, the film is a multi-starrer with Sidharth Malhotra, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Rakul Preet Singh and Pooja Chopra a part of it. It has been directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Aiyaary initially was slated to release on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day. But later it was pushed to February 9 and then finally to February 16. It was to avoid the clash with Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor’s comedy-drama Pad Man.
Let’s see if the film is able to show some growth in the upcoming days!
